GARNETT 2004-05 PRESENTATION NIGHT
In the club's annual Presentation night was held (after much debate) for the
second year running in the Belle Grove on Saturday May 11th,
Once again a well attended social event of the year with players and many wives, girlfriends
and supporters attending. Thanks to Rich "Harry Potter" Holme for organising the raffle, all those who
donated raffle prizes, Roger for the 22nd edition of the Stats, Paddy for buying the trophies and all the managers and their stand-ins. And the winners were…

Saturday Player of the Year, Golden Boot and Ever Presents.
1st Team - Making it a hat-trick Shaun Cavanagh edged out midfielder John Hall just as last season. Club orator Trigger Robinson came 3rd. Golden Boot was Danny Sherwood (15) the 4rd time he has won the award for the 1st team
Reserves
- Club fresher Andy Smith beat keeper Kev Harty, closely followed by Chris Pearce. Adam Bell (10) took the Golden Boot from Craig Allen.

Much respect to C team who were the only Garnett league champions this season and had a record breaking run of 11 unbeaten from Oct to April (in fact they only lost one game).

Wednesday Player of the Year, Golden Boot and 'Ever Presents'.

-Tom Ingham got 1st who got 2nd and 3rd? Perhaps once the stats are in perhaps things will be clearer..
B Team -In his second year for the Bs Rob Wallace took the honours ahead of Doug Haines and Andy Smith. Adding to his Sat 5th team golden boot was Lee Appleby (5), with Tom Penn the only 'ever present'
C Team - In their first championship win since the 1999-00 season Rory Kroon, Matt Davey and Jimbo Bradley were 'ever presents' with the golden boot going to James Atkinson on 6. Chris Pearce took player of the year ahead of Ben Brown and keeper Rory Kroon.

Club awards
Club Man of the Year
- Two players showed equal commitment in their fund raising efforts and dedicated service playing for the Green and Black. Apart for his obvious contribution in running the football picks Mark Menton racked up 39 1st team appearances the highest number.. Rich Holme almost single handedly ran the Garnett Race night just to name one of the many fund raising services he provided the club with as well as scoring 34 goals in 26 appearances (see Golden Boot).
Most Improved Player - There were limited suggestions this season but the one name that kept croping up was a player who has 6 years with the club. This season Ed Shaw has adapted to the the keeper's role playing for the Bs, making it his own. He has acted as secretary for the 3rd and 4th teams in the Corinthians leagues, a vital role for which the club is very greatful.
Golden Boot - Despite being run close by Danny Sherwood's 32 goals , the wizard Rich "Harry Potter" Holme took his 1st Club golden boot award with 34 goals in only 26 appearances.
Centurians - at least five went past the 100 mark this season Dan Corcoran 117 (54),
David Pendlebury 113 (1), Shaun Cavanagh 114 (25), David Robinson 102 (13), Neil Hindley 101 (15), and all fully deserve the utmost respect afforded to Centurians. Some Wed A players possibly went past 100 appearances but until they email their stats in, who knows?
