The match was one of the most important games in the history of Garnett C. A relegation battle in which a loss would condemn Garnett C to 3rd division football next season. After going one down to a scrappy goal, we fought back against the gale force winds to finish the half all square and the wind on our side. The second half saw a far superior display with some good passing football at times coming from the team. A long distance effort from Andy Anderson, set up the game taking us 2-1 up. Two more followed in a half where we exerted our authority on the game. It was a crucial game in which everyone played out of there skins and was nothing more than the team deserved from what has been an up and down season to say the least.
