A break from the league, meant Garnett had the opportunity to progress to the quarter finals of the Saturday Intra Mural Cup with this second round fixture. The opposition, Inter Minan, were doing fairly well in the league above Garnett, however to team felt confident about getting a result.

Garnett started brightly, however an injury to James Atkinson after 20 minutes disrupted the team. Andy Anderson came on for Atkinson and went to right back, with Normington switching to left midfield.

The team never really recovered conceding a silly first goal and then were caught napping to concede another.

At half time at 2:0 down, Garnett knew they had a lot to do, but the team didn't feel as though they had been outplayed.

With hardly any chances being created, Garnett Switched to a familiar 4-4-2 formation and Royal came on for Normington. With more presence up front, Garnett raised the tempo more and a scrappy goal slotted home by Liam Appleby put Garnett back in for a shout with 10 minutes to go.

A late goal from Minan with 3 minutes to go, proved to be the final blow as Garnett disappointingly crashed out of this seasons Saturday Cup.
