Garnett played top of the 1st division Heaton Stannington in a friendly at Coach Lane. Heaton played their best football in the first 20 minutes, taking a 2 goal lead.

Bohs came through in the second half with a good display of control and pace. Sam King pulled the first goal back, firing in after a good move down the garnett right. Sherwood equalised with a tap in following a mix up between the Heaton goalkeeper and a defender. He then set up Dan Corcoran who coolly finished to put Garnett in the lead 3 - 2. Sherwood grabbed his second near the death as he lashed the ball in at the near post following good work from Corcoran and King on the left flank.
