Bohs were made to work hard for victory against bottom of the table Otterburn who showed commendable spirit and even managed to score their first goal of the season in taking the lead early in second half.

Bohs completely dominated the remainder of the game but had to be patient, with 20 minutes left Danny Sherwood rose imperiously to head in a corner. With substitutes Mike Cave and Jason Thompson causing constant problems with their pace the inevitable winner came when Neil Hindley side footed a Cave pullback from the edge of the box in the eightieth minute. Thompson set up Sherwood for a simple tap in within a minute and with the last kick of the game Cave set up Sherwood for his hatrick.

Matt Buckley had an outstanding game as fill in centre half and Fraser Hepburn made a confident Alliance debut in nets but talk of the bar was captain Shaun Cavangh's amazing miss form a yard.
