Garnett lost to a good but not unbeatable Gilford Park. The lads were gutted as they played well, had more of the play and created some excellent chances. Their first goal (5 mins) was a blatant push, which their player and officials concurred after the game and Haggis was clearly brought down in the box at 0-1. Unfortunately Garnett did not take advantage and let in a poor goal before half time. The green and black changed to 4 3 3 at half time and brought on Micky Cave, who did well. Their ex-Carlisle Utd player scored with a great chip from 30 yards early in 2nd half. Garnett kept going well and were the better side for the remainder of the half, who knows what would happened if Garnett had got the third goal of the match. To be fair they had some quality players going forward and a lot of experience but if anything Garnett are more confident now. Unfortunately Mullan got 2 yellows in last 2 minutes for dissent!
