GARNETT 2001-02 PRESENTATION NIGHT
The North Terrace held another successful Garnett social event organized by Tim Burke-Murphy and Rupert Thorpe, with club statistician Paul Miller surpassing himself with the 19th edition of the Stats and sorting out the trophies. And the winners were…

Saturday Player of the Year
1st Team -Super Viking striker Kym Vamrak edged out defender Peter Curtis who was narrow runner up for second year in a row
Reserves - Centre half Tom Webb was a clear and deserved winner with the ever reliable Rich Cusworth second.
A Team - Playmaker Luke Walker retained the award for a second year.
B Team - Para Martin Wonders triumphed in a hard fought battle with fellow hard man Andy Powers
C Team - Stalwart Mark Bates, the "White Viera", whole hearted performances in a difficult season were rigthly rewarded.

Wednesday Player of the Year
A Team
- Fresher Alex Martin capped an impressive first season with the Green and Black.
B Team -Tom Webb again.
C Team - Wednesday Kevin Young's goal-scoring heroics were duly rewarded.

Club awards
Clubman of the Year
- Craig Rowson's efficiency and intelligence received public recognition
Most Improved Player - J.R Fitzgerald's rise from obscurity of part time C team player to A team regular won him the award over that man Powers.
Golden Boot - Kym Vamrak's 37 league goals made him a clear winner with fresher Adam Bell ("weak as piss") his nearest challenger.
Centurians - past the 100 mark last year, but only presented this year were: Ben Holmes 146, Richard Cusworth 144, Chris Watson 127 and Craig Swinhoe 122. This years Centurians were:
Nick Blogg 124, Craig Rowson 114, Michael .Hughes 111, Tim Carnley 109, James Almond 105 and Peter Curtis 100.

Finally, for all those of you slagging off Danny Sherwood for putting a girl before the Green and Black, he did drive to Manchester and back on Friday night to pick up the Burn Shield so it could presented to Kym. So we forgiven him, on this occasion!
