Todays match was a must win match versus Real Mechanical who at the time of kick off were 2 points below Garnett C. Real started the better team with Enigma having to make a couple of excellent saves to keep the game at 0-0. As the first half progressed, Garnett C grew in confidence and after a few half chances, Chris Jackson finished well after a scramble in the box. At half time both teams were well poised with Garnett C 1-0 up.

The second half performance was a much improved one with Garnett C on top and took control of the match. A couple of flashing shots passed before a cutting move down the right hand side with Giles providing a defence splitting pass through to Jose who finished the move splendidly.

Garnett C killed off Real with a third goal set up by a free kick by Chris Nunn which Nick Garbet latched onto behind the Real defence and rounded the keeper before putting Garnett into a three goal lead.

Garnett C played the better football, especially in the second half, and deserved the 3-0 win to open up a five point gap between them and the relegation places.
