GARNETT RESERVES TEAM REPORT
Saturday 1st March 2008 Killingworth YPC 4(0) vs. (0) 3 Garnett Reserves

The Reserves reached a nadir on Saturday with a performance that incorporated numerous mistakes and worringly fragmented team spirit. Although high winds limited the ability to play football, the battling spirit of earlier in the season was missing and internal criticism did little to raise morale and confidence. My suggestion is as follows...let's get back to playing and enjoying football. Do that and with the ability the team undoubtedly has the results will follow. Successful teams attack together, defend together and look after each other.

I've enjoyed over 100 games for the Green and Blacks, many with members of the team that turned out for this performance. I look forward then to putting this (and previous) games behind us and moving on as a cohesive unit. Every player and team goes through slumps, however it's all about how you bounce back. At this level of football that works by every team member playing to their strengths and team members recognising the strengths and weakness of each other.

I know I'm up for the challenge and am 100% certain our hard working Manager is too, so let's get on and improve from now until the rest of the season. The one positive to take from this game is that as the team has reached the bottom there is only one way to go.....UP UP UP!
