In a first half of great football, Garnett 5th showed why they were up there with the title contenders.

All 5 goals were scored in the first half, and 3 goals scored within the first 15 minutes, the game was won early on. The new strike team of Wes Etan, who has alredy scored in every game this season, and Jamie Hart, who has already got 4 under his name, started their tally of goals for the season.

Good performances from Henry Brydon, who is another contender for top goal scorer, and Steve Simms, who scored his first goal as a centre half. This was cancel out when his defensive partner Chris Wan bagged an own goal. Alex Hindle got his first start for the team and showed a class of his own, taking the ball around the Sporting Gibon midfield as though they weren't even there. Giles had many chances and was very unlucky not getting a goal, but his performance, again, was excellent. The future looks bright for the 5th's.
