GARNETT B TEAM REPORT
Saturday 8th November 2003 Garnett B 2 (0) vs.(0) 1 JCB Eindhoven

The previous season's matches against JCB for the Bs had yielded just one point from nine which was a major factor in their disappointing fourth place finish. They were determined not to let this happen again and started the game in impressive fashion.

The Bs, although unable to score, were probably playing the best football they had done all season but just couldn't finish any slick moves off with Garbett, Jones, Ford, Holme, Kent and McMillan all having numerous efforts between them.

HALF TIME, 0-0. The second half began in a very similar vein except that Garnett actually scored with a corner from Ford that was finished off by McMillan after a little scramble. This surely would be the start of more goals but no JCB broke and earned a penalty with Powers handling on the floor. This gave the Eindhoven a bit of a lift and they had chances to go ahead.

After a while Garnett started to gain more control, Ford created numerous chances for substitute Andy Bell to win it, the closest effort clipping the crossbar. The game looked to be heading for a draw when a loose clearance fell to Ford and he calmly put Rich through to drill Holme (excuse the pun!) for an injury time winner. The B's unbeaten run which started at the end of last season stretches to 10 games.
