GARNETT A MATCH REPORT
Saturday 17th April 2004 Jesmond Mysterons 1 (0) vs.(0) 1 Garnett A

An off-day for Garnett who could only draw against Jesmond Mysterons who as a result of the game were relegated. Garnett were dominate in the first period without creating many clear cut openings. Young had an effort well saved after Bell had set him up. The only other openings came from corners where Robinson had a header go just wide.

In the second period it was much the same story however, Mysterons scored first with their only shot of the game when the little striker got behind the defence and finshed well. The goal seemed to wake Garnett up and they started to pass the ball and maintain possesion and as a result controlled the game.

Young hit a shot straight at the keeper after good work from Smith, and it was looking like one of those days, until Robinson brought the ball out of defense and played a lovely through ball to Adam Bell who hit a 20 yard shot into the bottom corner to even the scores up. Garnett had chances to win the game and none better than the chance that fell to Pollard who had his effort well saved from the keeper when 8 yards out. 1-1 it finshed but with Newcastle City losing, this result sends Garnett top by 2 points.
