GARNETT A MATCH REPORT
Wednesday 14th April 2004 Dynamo Fenham 1 (1) vs.(1) 4 Garnett A

Garnett A set up a semi final with Garnett B after overcoming Dynamo Fenham on a wednesday evening at Blakelaw.. Garnett started well and looked dangerous when attacking however Fenham looked dangerous on the break. The first 20 minutes were mainly played in midfield, but both teams had good chances. Bell had two efforts saved by the Fenham keeper, and Garnett stopper Harty pulled of a couple of quality saves to keep the score level. Fenham then took the lead, after Garnett failed to clear a corner and the #14 scored at the second time of asking. Garnett struck level through a very unlikely source. Jackson sporting his new Retro mullet haircut scored from what looked like a cross, but Jackson reckons it was a shot.

Half time at 1-1, the message was to keep playing and work harder, and this seemed to do the trick as Garnett were dominant in the second half. With an impressive performance from the active Hopkins. Garnett took the lead when Bell finished cooly after the keeper had spilled a Young effort. Young then scored with his left foot when one-on-one with the keeper. Garnett pushed on for more goals and the Fenham keeper pulled of a tremendous save to deny captain Pollard, whose shot from 25 yards seemed destined for the top corner. Garnett made it 4 when Hopkins shot in the bottom corner after an indivdual run. Very good second half performance from Garnett.
