GARNETT RESERVES MATCH REPORT
Saturday 7th February 2004 Darsley Rangers 2 (1) vs.(0) 0 Garnett Bohemian

In near gale force conditions at Bullocksteads, the Reserves went down to a critical defeat against fellow strugglers Darsley. In a game ruined by the wind, both sides really struggled to play any football. In fact this has to be one of the worst games of football I have ever witnessed, and made worst that the Green and Black could not have too many complaints against a spirited Darsley side.
Saying that Darsley created little apart from their goals, a most unfortunate own goal and a free header from the corner, with keeper Rob Scott blatantly impeded, in the crucial minutes either side of half time.

At half time only a goal down against the wind, the Reserves still seemed confident of coming back but the second goal seemed to drain the confidence form the Green and Black. Despite the wind advantage and much of the possession the Reserves hardly created a chance against a resilient Darsley defence, a shot just over from Dan Corcoran the closest.

On a plus side Mark Rogers put in his best performance of the season and young full back Rory Monaghan had another solid game.

Hopefully the team can respond positively next week with three points over Medicals who were vanquished earlier in the campaign.
