RICH TURNER (CM/LM) Debut 2001
Rich is an enthusiastic fresher whose determined performances in the B's won him promotion to the Reserves. Rich has lot of footballing and athletic potential, his experiences with the Reserves and training with the 1st team will put him in good stead for next season.

MARK ROGERS (RM/RB) Debut 2001
Another promising youngster who has impressed in this, his debut season. Mark has played for the 1st team at left back and midfield when injuries have created openings and let no one down, he will be looking to use this year's experiences to establish himself as a regular in the 1st team next season.

ROGER MILLER (CB R/LB) Debut 1992
A Garnett legend, Roger's commitment to the Garnett cause both on and off the pitch is unmatched in the history of the Green and Black. Now in his 10th season with his only club, Roger recently passed the magical double centurion mark only previously reached by three others. If it were not for an injuries Roger would be the most "capped" Garnett player. A tough tackling defender Roger won a place back in the 1st team squad this season, after a couple of years in the B team. Unfortunately after a promising start to the campaign, Roger has once again suffered from injury the Reserves are now benefiting from Roger's presence at the back.

TOM WEBB (CB) Debut 2000
Tom has enjoyed and outstanding season at the heart of the Reserves defence after working his way up through the ranks. Tom played for 5th team last season and started the season with the 3rd team but he has made quick progress due to his excellent form. Tom should be confident of winning a place in 1st team next season.

TIM CARNLEY (CB/CM) Debut 1999
After a couple of year in the Reserve team and on the fringes of the 1st team Tim has finally established himself as 1st team regular this season. A footballing defender of genuine class, Tim has been in outstanding form this season growing in confidence with each game and was badly missed when he was out for five games with knee ligament damage. Tim has to be Ibbo's greatest ever signing.

ALEX MARTIN(CB) Debut 2001
Alex is another promising young defender with high hopes of winning a 1st team place next season, he has been one of the Reserves most consistent performers this season. Fresher Alex has an excellent attitude on and off the pitch and has benefited from training regularly with the 1st team.

DAVID MERCER (CB/CM) Debut 2000
David is another highly committed player who has a fantastic attitude to training. David performed well for the Reserves last season to earn a place in 1st team at start of the season, unfortunately just as he was beginning to establish himself he suffered a long term ankle injury. He is now making an influential comeback as central midfield anchorman in the Reserves.

RICHARD CUSWORTH (CM/CB/RB) Debut 1999
A loyal one-club man who has been a rock in this difficult season for the Reserves. A determined and strong central midfielder, Cussy is now in his 4th season with the club after finding employment in the area after graduation. Cussy was a member of both Corinthian Championship seasons and played in the Green and Black's only ever Cup Final success in 1999 before moving down to the Reserves for the last two seasons.

GARETH HOPKINS (CF/LWB) Debut 1997
One of the most committed players in club history Gaz has only missed one game in his 5 years with the club! A highly versatile player Gaz is capable of doing a job in virtually every position on the pitch. This is Gaz's third season in 1st season after a season each in the Reserves and the C team.

BEN HOLMES (CM) Debut 1997
Ben has been with club ever since arriving in Newcastle 5 years ago and has gradually worked his way up to the 1st team after 2 ½ seasons in the lower teams. A composed and reliable central midfielder, Ben has produced the best football of his Garnett career this season.

GREG STINSON (CF/CM) Debut 2000
The second member of the Stinson family to play for Garnett, brother Neil played from 1997-2000. Greg has been a regular for the Wednesday A Team, and helped Cussy run the Reserves when available.

DAVID ALEXANDER (CF/CM) Debut 2001
Promising Irish newcomer with great ball skills and desire, David has moved quickly through the ranks to win a place in 1st team squad. Only 18 years old and still learning how to play the game, David has already chipped in with a few vital goals from his preferred attacking midfield role.

TIM BURKE-MURPHY (CM) Debut 2000
A hard running midfield dynamo, Tim has won a regular place in the 1st team squad this season after learning the ropes under Polly in the Reserve team last year as a wide eyed fresher. Tim is just returning to full fitness and form after a long spell out with a hamstring injury. Tim is another player prepared to work for the club off the pitch and has taken over many of the Club Captain responsibilities this season.

"HOWIE" SORENSEN (CM) Debut 2000
Another Norwegian, Howie has made a big difference since coming into the team after the first month of the season. A strong physical player with skills and vision to match, Howie is ideally suited to the central midfield holding role. Howie joined the club midway through last season after a spell out of the game and got himself back into the flow in the Reserve team.

NEIL HINDLEY (CM) Debut 1997
Neil has returned to the club this season. A skillful and athletic midfielder Neil played for the 1st team as a fresher in 1997-98 before leaving to play for Newcastle University. Unfortunately work commitments have limited the involvement of this talented player to the cause.

KENNY ROSBACH (CF) Debut 2001
Kenny is a very talented player who always plays with great enthusiasm. Kenny scored an amazing 5 goals on his debut but unfortunately hamstring injuries have blighted his season since, much to the Reserves loss. Kenny has been involved with the 1st team on a few occasions this season and will be hoping for a regular place next year.

CHRIS WATSON (CF/CB) Debut 1996
Garnett's strongest man is now in his 6th season with the club, Watto's aggression and determination have unsettled many a Geordie defence. An inspiration to the less experienced players in the team, Watto is an underrated finisher whose goal scoring record who needed only 8 goals this season to become the fifth most prolific striker in the club's history. This tally includes an impressive 7 in 8 games for the 1st team. Watto is also responsible for scoring the goal for the C teams that beat the A team in the Cup in 1997.

MARTIN POLLARD (SW/CM) Debut 1995
Garnett veteran Pollard, now in his sixth season, continues to be an influentially loud presence both on and off the field. Loves to arrive late in the box and add to his burgeoning Garnett goal tally. Always likes to see the simple ball being played.

DAN CORCORAN (CF/LM) Debut 2001
Gateshead lad, Dan, is a Garnett rarity a fresher who went to a comprehensive. A highly skilful but diminutive left sided striker, Dan came to the club's attention with 6 goals in one game for the 3rd team. This is a record for the 3rd team and only been bettered by Danny Sherwood's triple hatrick and magnificent 7. Dan recently made his Reserve team debut after injury slowed down his promotion.
