CRAIG GRACIE
(GK) Debut 2001 SAMMY HAILLAY
(GK) Debut 1994 LEE ELLIOTT
(CB/CM+GK) Debut 2001 A Garnett legend, Roger's commitment to the Garnett cause both on and off the pitch is unmatched in the history of the Green and Black. Now in his 10th season with his only club, Roger recently reached the magical double centurion mark only previously reached by three others. If it were not for an injuries Roger would be the most "capped" Garnett player. A tough tackling defender Roger won a place back in the 1st team squad this season, after a couple of years in the B team. Unfortunately after a promising start to the campaign, Roger has once again suffered from injury and lost his place in starting 11 for now. PETER CURTIS (CB/LB/SW) Debut
1997 After a couple of year in the Reserve team and on the fringes of the 1st team Tim has finally established himself as 1st team regular this season. A footballing defender of genuine class, Tim has been in outstanding form this season growing in confidence with each game and was badly missed when he was out for five games with knee ligament damage. Tim has to be Ibbo's greatest ever signing. MORTEN GABRIELSEN (CM/CB)
Debut 2001 The second of the Norwegians, Christian is an inspiration to all in the club whether at training or on the pitch. A strong physical player and ultimate team man, Christian will play anywhere for the good of the side and fully deserves to be captain. Another ex University of Northumbria player, Christian spent most of last season in Reserves after starting off in the 4th team but his attitude and effort in pre-season training earned him a chance in the 1st team at the start of the season, which he has grabbed with both hands. DAVID MERCER
(CB/CM) Debut 2000 Craig is one of many who have worked his ways from the depths of the C team to become a 1st team regular. Craig's work rate has been phenomenal all season and he has made the left side of midfield position his own. Now in his 4th season with the club, Craig is the sole reason for the existence of the 1st team in the Tyneside Amateur League this season as he was the only player in the squad prepared to take on the arduous role of secretary, a role he has performed with great efficiency. GARETH HOPKINS
(CF/RM/RB) Debut 1997 A hard running midfield dynamo, Tim has won a regular place in the squad this season after learning the ropes under Polly in the Reserve team last year as a wide eyed fresher. Tim is just returning to full fitness and form after a long spell out with a hamstring injury. Tim is another player prepared to work for the club off the pitch and has taken over many of the Club Captain responsibilities this season. BEN HOLMES
(CM) Debut 1997 Promising Irish newcomer with great ball skills and desire, David has moved quickly through the ranks to win a place in 1st team squad. Only 18 years old and still learning how to play the game, David has already chipped in with a few vital goals from his preferred attacking midfield role. "HOWIE" SORENSEN
(CM) Debut 2000 Another promising youngster who has impressed in this, his debut season. Mark has played for the 1st team at left back and midfield when injuries have created openings and let no one down, he will be looking to use this year's experiences to establish himself as a regular in the 1st team next season. ANDY LOGAN
(CM/CF) Debut 1999 Super skilled left sided attacking player, Andy is one of the most talented players in the club's history. Andy played youth international football for his native Norway, in so becoming the 3rd international in the club's history, following his compatriot Daniel Flugstaad and Singapore B international Beng Cheung. Andy joined the Green and Black after spells with Blyth Spartans in the Unibond League and Blue Star in the Northern League. KYM VAMRAK (CF) Debut 2000 |
