GARNETT WED B TEAM REPORT
Wed 12th October 2005 Athletico Jizzman 3 (2) vs. (0) 0 Garnett B

After last weeks derby disappointment, the B’s were keen to try and kick start their season against Athletico Jizzmen. The manager had many selection and injury problems with captain Luke Lavery carrying a knock and only available from the bench and a central midfield dilemma. Due to this two players renowned for their influence up front had to play centre midfield in the shape of Lee Marshall and James Thompson making a long overdue and welcome return.

It was these issues which could contribute as adequate excuses for what was a poor performance from every player, however with the quality in the team it was simply disappointing. The first goal conceded came after a long ball over the top wasn’t dealt with, allowing a Jizzmen striker to finish comfortably. The second came soon after a poor clearance left a Jizzmen player in space once again and slotted home. Garnett held the game at 2:0 until half time and were unlucky not to pull a goal back after spurning several chances at the Jizzmen goal. The second half began and it didn’t take long for Jizzmen to increase their lead, when from a corner, poor marking lead to an incoming striker to head past the keeper. Despite countless misses from both sides, the game finished 3:0 with the B’s still without a point.
