Wed 22nd February 2006 Garnett A 1 (1) vs. (0) 0 Henderson A

The A's put in a laboured performance today but did enough to overcome a stubborn Henderrson A.
The A's best football came in the first ten minutes when Mullan had a header well cleared off the line and shortly after Tomei's back post header crashed off the woodwork.

Pearce opened the scoring shortly after when he beat the on rushing keeper to the ball to see his effort hit the back of the net. Pearce was in raptures as this was his first goal of the season.

With the half progressing well for the A's Sean Emmot was scythed down in the box when clean through. To the disbelief of everyone on the football pitch the ref waved play on and Garnett were denied the opportunity to double their advantage.

The second half was a different affair with the A's not quite at their fluid best and the best chance of the half fell to sub Heslop who attempted to round the keeper but was denied by a smart save.

The game finished 1-0 and this was enough to lift Garnett one point behind the leaders with a game in hand over their rival Z Lions
