KEV HARTY (GOALKEEPER) Debut 2003
Along with Rob Scott, Kev turned the keeper's position from one of weakness to strength. Kev played a massive part in the A's success this season and is easily capable of playing in the 1st team, as he proved in the 1st v Reserves friendly. He should be challenging Rob and Fraser for the number one spot.

DAVE PENDLEBURY (DEFENCE) Debut 2000
Inspirational straight talking leader "Scargill" proved to be an excellent choice as A team manager, blending a mixture of youth and experience into Champions of the Corinthian league. Dave began his career as a hard tackling left back, but flourished at centre back constantly contending for Man of the Match honours.

'PADGE' JANES (CB) Debut32002
Padge arrived at the trials this year after two seasons playing for the lower University teams. A giant of a centre half, Padge's aerial prowess has been badly missed by the A's this season when on the unfortunately all too frequent occasions that he has been injured.

CHRIS JACKSON (DEFENCE/LB) Debut 2002
One of the most underrated players in the club, Chris quietly and efficiently made the left back spot his own. Described as the "best dressed man " in the club Chris will be challenging for the left back spot in the Reserves.

MATT SMITH (DEFENCE/RB) Debut 2001
Matt is a reliable and skilful right back had an excellent season for the A's. In his one performance for the Reserves he impressed in the first 20 minutes before suffering a knee injury, which was the only blight on his season.

JAMES 'TART' ALMOND (DEFENCE) Debut 1998
Former 1st team player of year returned after working away for much of 2000-03. An excellent defender, Tart excelled in the man to man marking role in the 3-5-2 preferred by former legendary manager Samm Haillay. Much of the passion for the Green and Black bears the mark of splinter's influence. He had to content himself with a place in the A's due to the excellent form of the central defenders in the teams above.

WILL PHILLIPS (DEFENCE) Debut 2003
Will made a spectacular recovery after being out with a cruciate ligament injury for a year. After working his way back to match fitness in the A's, he was deservedly promoted to 1st team squad and immediately looked at home. An athletic and strong defender, Will can play anywhere across the back four.

MIKE DEEBLE (LEFT MID/CF) Debut 2002
Left winger/striker Mike gives the A's much needed width. After spending most of his time at the club in the B's last year, Mike has justified his promotion to the A's with consistently good displays.

MARTIN POLLARD (CM/CF) Debut 1995
Garnett legend and Vice Chairman, Pol has always been a leader and a winner and has had a massive influence of the A's this season. For once concentrating on his own game rather than managing teams, Pol has enjoyed his most productive season in the heart of midfield in partnership with fellow veteran Ben Holmes. Possessor of one of the club's best footballing brains with an impressive strike rate for a midfielder, Pol's passion and desire are an example to all at the club as he gradually worked his way up from sub for the bottom team to the a contender for playing in the Tyneside Amateur with the Reserves. An insightful presence both on and off the field in his role as Club Vice Chairman.

BEN HOLMES (CM) Debut 1997
Garnett centurian in his seventh season with the club, ever reliable and loyal clubman Ben enjoyed another successful season for the club. One of the best passers of the ball in the club, Ben rarely gives the ball away and proved the perfect foil to the rampaging Pollard in the A's magnificent Championship winning season.

TOM PENN (MIDFIELD) Debut 2003
Another promising product of the excellent 2003 trials, Tom immediately caught the eye with his extravagant mullet and passing ability! Ideally a central midfield player, Tom has played most of the season on the right of midfield due to the form of veterans Pollard and Holmes.

NICO HESLOP (MIDFIELD) Debut 2003
Another talented fresher, Nico learned quickly under the tutelage of Scargill and Pollard in the Corinthian league and fully deserved his promotion to the Reserves. Nico has the ability to play anywhere up front or midfield and a real eye for a goal. With continued development a productive Garnett career is assured.

SAM COLLINS (CF) Debut 2002
The "Eton Rifle" is one of the quickest players at the club and definitely the gangliest. He notched a respectable 17 goals last season despite injury problems and has been a regular member of A team squad this season. Well know for scoring improbable goals.

ADAM BELL (CF) Debut 2001
"Weak as piss" Adam has gradually grown in strength over his time at the club. A natural athlete who dismayed all the regulars by demolishing the Grand National record time at the first attempt. Adam has been a prolific scorer since joining the club and is red hot favourite to be the third man after record scorer Danny Sherwood and Paul Lant to break the hundred goal barrier.

KEVIN YOUNG (CF) Debut 2000
After languishing in the C's for his first two seasons and spending a year out, "Shrek" burst onto the scene with an incredible two double hatricks in quick succession, only record scorer Danny Sherwood with a triple hatrick and a seven is now ahead of him on the all time goals in a game chart. Kev has scored consistently all season and is the prolific scorer that all successful teams need and rightly added Player of the Year to the Golden Boot award.

PAUL MURRAY (CF) Debut 2001
Cheeky scouser Paul was promoted to the A's after some outstanding performances for the student B's. Paul is a tricky little midfield player with a decent goal scoring record. Paul placed himself into Wednesday folklore with the goal that gave the B's victory over the A's and also made a name for himself by terrorizing Cav in the Sat A's v Sat B's astro friendly
