ANDREW HIRD

Debut: 2008-09

Position: Keeper

Previous Senior clubs: Northallerton Town Reserves

How he signed for Green and Black: Former intra-mural team mate of Jack Ford.

Profile: Talented keeper who joined club as a B team defender before his true talents were revealed.  Would surley be pushing for 1st team place if not for a blossoming DJing career which has prevented him playing every week.

Manager's comment: "Hard to believe he was playing centre back for the B team last year. Andy is as reliable as they come between the sticks. Great handling and shot stopping ability. Along with this he has also fantastic distribution from the ground. Must be one of the best keepers in the TAL. Been solid so far this season and is capable of playing a higher standard within the club. Loves playing football and rarely misses a training session. Has some outrageous training tops which he is always keen to show off. Despite the stick he gets for this, Hirdy’s outfield performances in training are a constant reminder he is prepared and equipped to do a job for us up front, should he ever be needed.”
