TAVISH COULING

Debut: 2007-08

Position: Centre Midfielder

Previous Senior clubs: Carlisle United Youth, Carlisle City, Gilford Park, Northbank

How he signed for Green and Black: Contacted the club when he came to University.

Profile: Described by Paddy as "best pure footballer in the club" Tav once, and only once, played left wing back for Carlisle United Reserves.  Great technical ability and the rare talent to take set pieces with either foot, only excess baggage stopped him being a 1st team regular until this season. A good clubman and a character in the dressing room.

Personal profile: "Known to the side for his extra weight, the lad with the large posterior. Even the local paparazzi had to adapt a camera with a special lens to get him in a photo. Even with this extra weight, he managed to get a personal fan from a night out for his, what can only be described as a scary dance routine which will have many people questioning his sanity."

Managers Comments (2009-10): “The ‘Kumbrian Kaka’. Been re-vitalised this season. When he plays everyone around him plays. Firmly established in the side now as a holding midfielder. Also strikes a great dead ball, even if he does pose like Jonny Wilkinson before taking them. Loves the banter at the club and trains hard. One of the worst dancers in the squad, despite being very critical other people’s moves.”
